Zeba Khan is a Muslim-American writer and commentator of Indian ethnic origin. From 2012-2014, she served as Director of Fellowships for The OpEd Project, overseeing the management and growth of the Public Voices Program. During her tenure in that position, Zeba personally led the Public Voices Fellowship programs at Yale, Stanford, Cornell and Fordham. Her commentary has appeared in The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The Huffington Post, and many other national outlets. Zeba has appeared on CNN, Good Morning America, and ABC Evening News and has been recognized as a leading figure in the Muslim American diaspora by The White House. In 2009, Zeba was first runner-up in The Washington Post’s “America’s Next Great Pundit” competition, beating out nearly 5000 writers from across the country. A Fulbright Scholar, Zeba received a Master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a joint MA/BA from the University of Chicago.
The OpEd Project was founded to ensure a wider range of voices shape our public spaces, our history, and our future. The goal of the Project is to increase the volume of underrepresented voices in key commentary forums--where public thought leadership begins. Partnering with universities, think tanks, nonprofits, and corporations, The OpEd Project provides a highly dynamic curriculum to target and trains underrepresented experts to take thought leadership positions in their fields.
